An ode to the Daphne to my Josephine

I first met Miia back in February of this year. She had been a reader of this very blog, just made the move from Finland to London and sent me an email asking if I'd like to have coffee with her. That cup of coffee ended up turning into quite a friendship. We moved in together after a couple of weeks and now, after a few quick months, we have become total BFFs. Without getting heavy on you, these past few months have been a complete whirlwind for both of us and we've been there for each other, both in the extremely good and the extremely bad.

We like to spend our free time dancing and talking in double innuendos - always impeccably dressed, of course. We call each other Daphne and Josephine because we feel we are basically the Some Like It Hot characters - only in non-drag female form... Although, in the end, we aren't all that far from being in drag, I suppose.

Before the Jubilee hullabaloo, we spent a warm weekend picnicing and wreaking havoc at gay clubs in Soho. Just the way we like it.

Once again, we were co-incidentally matchy matchy in the opposites attract kind of a way; Miia in 50s blue stripes and me in 40s red plaid.
